Purposeful Judgement
As a young girl growing up in church, I remember being frightened by the stories of judgement day. I was left imagining God asking me about every little thing that I did. I thought “wow that has to be tedious”, “does He realize how many people that has lived”, and “why is everything that I do so important”. I realized as I began to mature that God is only interested in the fulfillment of His will on earth. So judgement day began to make sense, it is not a laundry list of the things that you did or didn’t do. It is not a recording of random conversations. It is specific… Your purpose is specific which makes judgement specific. You were created for a reason. To find that reason; slow down, pay attention, seek God and look for the signs from your disappointments, things that frustrate you and where your passion lies. Then do something! Remember you are the Salt of the earth, a Light in a dark place. Your presence and your purpose were made to change the taste (the atmosphere) of this world, to preserve God’s creation and to be a beacon of light to guide the world back to Him. So judgement day is purposeful, I now imagine the questions asked would be; “what have you done to bring forth your purpose?” “How effective have you been?” Your words and deeds do matter in direct relation to your purpose. When you are operating in that, everything you say or do will be guided by God, so how rewarding will that purposeful judgement be?
Repeat After Me… I am excited to know that my purpose has a place; I give myself away for a path greater than me, knowing that my reward is even greater. I take my life seriously and use it for good, wisely. I am complete in my purpose; therefore I am complete in God. Judgement will be in my favor because everything that I do is on Purpose. Great is my Reward! Now Believe it and Know it!!!
